Volunteers
A volunteer account stores a name and email address for logging in, plus the profile the volunteer fills in: first name, state, home county, travel range, roles, availability and an optional note. Street address and phone number are never asked for.
Volunteer data is visible only to campaigns that Campaign Match has approved, and only these fields: first name, county, roles and availability. A campaign sees them when the volunteer matches one of its open needs, or when the volunteer has expressed interest in one. The note is shown to a campaign when the volunteer expresses interest in its need.
A volunteer's email address is shown to a campaign only after a match is mutual: the volunteer expressed interest and the campaign accepted, or the campaign invited and the volunteer accepted. If either side withdraws, the address is hidden again.
A volunteer can delete their account from settings. Deleting the account removes the volunteer profile, every expression of interest, every invitation and every match along with it.

Campaigns
A campaign account stores the account holder's name and email address and the campaign listing: candidate or committee name, office, state, counties, election date, website, description and contact name. Volunteers see the campaign's name, office, county and the needs it posts. The contact name and the account email address are shown to a volunteer only after a match is mutual. Deleting the account removes the campaign, its needs and its matches.
Everyone
Campaign Match does not send email on your behalf and does not have in-app messaging; once connected, you contact each other by email directly. There is no public list of campaigns or volunteers. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone outside the campaign you are matched with. The site uses Google Tag Manager for page analytics, like the rest of this site's family of pages.
